Destinations: Hangzhou
Tour Code: Hangzhou_01
Departure: Daily

1. Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Hangzhou (Lunch)
Our guide will meet you from your hotel (or airport, or train station) in the morning. Visit the West Lake, the Lingyin Temple, the Six Harmonies Pagoda, the National Silk Museum of China and the Red Carp Pond. Transfer to your hotel or railway station, end of service.

West Lake: Two metres in depth and 5.6 square kilometres in area, the lake lies in pleasing proportion to the hills on the north, west and south. Solitary Hill Island which stands in the lake, Su Causeway and Bai Causeway which run across the water surface combine to cut the lake into five parts. Three islands rise above the water. Several dozen species of flowers are grown on the Little Yingzhou Islet including a variety of different roses, lilac, magnolia, and crab apple.
Lingyin Temple: Founded in 326 A.D, it is one of the most ancient monasteries in south China. A legend has it that the Indian monk Huili had the temple built here after he decided that an immortal was hidden in the graceful peaks and grotesque rocks. The temple is a complex of halls, towers and pavilions in several courtyards surrounding the Grand Hall.
Six Harmonies Pagoda: An outstanding example of ancient Chinese pagodas. The octagonal pagoda rises 59.89 metres high on about 0.1 hectare of land. It is built in such a way that it appears to have 13 storeys from outside while it has only seven storeys inside. Standing on the bank of the Qiantang River, it commands an ideal view of the river and the surrounding area.
National Silk Museum of China: Opened to the public in 1992, the museum displays the history and culture of silk in China. With a building area of 8,000 square kilometers and a display area of 3,000 square kilometers, the Silk Museum owns eight exhibition halls; there are a lot of cultural relics from the Stone Age, tourists can see a piece of fragmentary brocade that dates back 5,630 years.
